Characterization of restricted areas, DC/AC ratio at the POI and variable energy prices.

In August, we have launched different strategies for fence and road interaction with restricted areas (Characterization of restricted areas). On the other hand, users will now be able to define the DC to AC ratio at the POI as a new strategy to size the plant. Finally,  hourly variable energy prices are now available for the definition of the financial analysis.

New features

  • Characterization of restricted areas: With this new feature users can now define different types of restricted areas (RA) with their colors and names and define how the different elements of the PV plant, such as the fence, roads or modules, interact with each of these restricted areas (RA).

  • DC/AC ratio at the Point of Interconnection: Users will now be able to define the DC to AC ratio at the POI as a new strategy to size the plant. This will be an alternative flow to defining the DC/AC at inverters. New strategy is enabled for both maximum capacity and specific capacity. This new feature also adds two new fields in the KPIs of the PV plant: "Active power at the point of interconnection" and "DC/AC ratio at the point of interconnection".

  •  Variable energy prices: The main objective of this feature is to improve the definition of power purchase and sale prices in RatedPower, allowing the user to define a different hourly price for each hour of the simulation.

Bug fixes and improvements

  • Fix MV lines issues with road strategies.
  • Fix that avoids placing power stations on top of fences.
  • Number of designs per country added to the customer statistics excel that can be exported in the Statistics and KPI's section.
  • Fix "Design Report" and "Energy Yield Report" issues.
  • Fixed an error in the generation of documents that occurred when the user defined multiple substations.
  • Fix for restricted area colors not propagating correctly to the general layout in DXF.
  • Change the distance used for the algorithm for clustering and routing the MV lines to take into account the distance from Available Area to Substation.
  • Reduce the distance between contour lines.
  • Replace Google maps with Mapbox for static images.
